"This time it's different". Lets hope so! In 89 and 98 the initial market reaction to the onset of Fed rate cuts wrongly forecast the market and recession.
The potential for a recession is related to the amount of excessive spending - new cars, computers, equipment, etc. Increasing credit at reduced rates does not create demand for such items if you just bought new ones last year.
