Intel CFO should never have guided the Street for a blowout 3Q and when he spotted this downturn, did nothing to provide guidance to lower expectations. Instead, they continued this take no prisoner - in your face style of investor relationship.

It is a good thing that Ashok Kumar and Dan Niles are not anything like the agenda driven, self serving Tom Kurlak, Joe Osha, or Drew Peck. If those analysts had any credibility left, they could have further wrecked Intel share prices and brought it down to much worse levels.

Ashok Kumar and Dan Niles have very reasonably and gently reset expectations. They are doing the job that Intel themselves should have be doing.
