Go check out a Federal Government agency, or state or county agency, for that matter, and tell me there isn't huge room for productivity increases.knc

It's a global economy. Further, you appear to have leaped directly to gloom when in fact what we will more likely see is slowed spending relative to what we've been seeing for the past few years... I don't believe this will be contractionary.

One way to look at it is that productivity has increased so much that people already have everything
they need and most of what they want.</i

Interesting comment to ponder. Do you really believe this? No one wants the next "gadget", no one has a need to replace? Businesses don't want to outduel their competitors? I think this is a huge leap of faith... but yet, something to think about.
