Chartseer..

'Perpetual notion of struggle and perpetual notion of war' for me is an outdated option, Arafat symbolises that wasted generation amply. I see that street violence will only make the nation poor, the only way for the region is to have real peace and develop, he canot deliver since no one from the radical camp really wants to stop this 'intifada' on the ground. If he decides for peace he will be considered as a sell out agent by the hamas, but these times needs man with bigger vision and decision maker, he has little options and if Clinton leaves the office I doubt that incoming Republican set up will be very helpful tp Arafat or the Israelis, the Cheney-Powel-Rumfiled-Bush strategy in that order too maintain the status-quo for reasonable time in future.. the sense of urgency and the sense of making history like the release of hostages from Tehran should be availed by hte Palestinian, this their best chance ..Arafat will need to deliver otherwise continous poverty and bloodshed would be part of the already very tragic Palestinian saga..regards..
