I agree with you. A lot of action by analyst is perceptional based cloaked in meeker attempts at valuation, it's hard to find an analyst that really has a handle on what is going to happen. Here is a good article on thestreet.com one that seems to have a handle on how to value and more importantly, understand how the street will value and what the perception the street will have going forward.

I know the concept of perception sounds like mombo jumbo, but god we are all humans dealing with trying understand and value companies with-out an agree upon method, I Thank the market gods too. Concerning the above article, I particularly liked his discussion on GE and KO, you can really understand why Buffet doesn't invest in tech. after reading that. For Buffet, it's about having an understandable model that will not change too much as years go by.
