Appointed President by a 5-4 vote by a politically motivated group of Supreme Court justices who acted in blatant defiance of principles of Federalism they claim to hold dear (except when politics dictates that they do a 180). He lost the election, badly when you compare the margin of his defeat to the landslide predictions of all of his closest supporters on election day. That's why 1/2 the public won't give an inch to this guy. Get used to it, a lot of people see it exactly the same way.
