Sorry Pat, you just lost me on ALAO: I am the "flash-in-the-pan " kind of investor. :-) However I promise to hang around for JDSU a little bit longer :-) TA ========================= Message #15729 from pat mudge at Jan 3, 2001 2:40 PM Manny and others -- If anyone missed the surge, as I did while having coffee at my local hang-out, a friend suggested I look at ALAO --- Alcatel Microelectronics. Since it's primarily traded in France, it's still almost unchanged on the day. If you buy, be careful with your order as it's pretty thinly traded here. ALA is the world leader in fiber optic submarine and near the top overall, so it's not a flash-in-the-pan type of investment. And for full disclosure, I just took a small position. Pat
