I have no clue about Bob, but I have been checking his site every few minute or so since the rate cut.

Mr. GJ - My guess is that we will go through a period where investors feel relieved that the FED has cut rates and they believe a soft landing has been achieved - recession has been averted. That will be the period of the countertrend rally. Near the top of that rally several months from now, economic statistics will show we are still slipping toward recession - earnings will still disappoint more than expected. Then I would guess fears will increasingly be re-established and the stock averages will sink to new lower levels.

My guess is that MOABO will not occur until sometime in 2002 when we get a true capitulation with magazine covers announcing "stocks are dead", CNBC broadcasting National Geographic Specials and travelogs 24 and 7, and fearful investors will sell stocks a fire sale prices just to keep what liitle savings are left.

Meanwhile, enjoy the ride. We live in interesting times, for sure.

What is bob saying is this the moba. If bobo remainds silent he will be left in the dust of the mother of all rallys.
