btw, Nasdaq up vol to down vol is 10:1

this is an old Marty Zweig indicator for the start of a bull market - should be repeated within 30 days to be a complete signal

Hi Bob,

Congratulations on a well-executed scale in/scale out. I did not purchase more UOPIX yesterday. I intended to buy additional shares today, but something funny happened on the way to the ProFunds... :-)

My break-even point for UOPIX is now 28.13. It's hard to believe my initial UOPIX purchase was made early last year near 132.

I managed to lower my cost through a few well-timed (lucky?) USPIX buys, and repeatedly reinvesting USPIX proceeds back into UOPIX at lower and lower levels, plus I frequently sold UOPIX for relatively small profits and bought back in at later at lower levels.

I last used USPIX back in mid-November. I've been too afraid to use USPIX since then, mainly because I feared a day like today. It's odd to consider, but I think most people (including me) fear shorting because the market's downside is finite, terminating at zero, but the upside is infinite.

I wonder what tomorrow will hold?

Best Regards,

UOPIX official close: $25.55

This is 2 pennies above par! The guys steering the ship at ProFunds are damned good. Someday soon, when I become profitable again, I'm going to send Michael Sapir, Louis Mayberg, and Dr. William Seale a big bottle of champagne each for executing so well on a consistent basis. Good job.
