It was having a discipline and sticking to it. I went over my numbers over the weekend and found an awful lot of tech stocks at or near value levels, so my system said to buy them. I would have been lost yesterday without a system; my stomach was in my throat as things were. The huge divergence in COMPX new lows was like nothing I can recall seeing. When an entire sector shows up on my value scans, it's usually a good intermediate-term bet. Didn't expect it would pay off this soon.

I expect we'll get a couple of days of jitters before continuing up; the Fed's dramatic move will likely lead to a lot of concern over just how much the economy is slowing. But bullish signs abound: higher highs on COMPX, INDU, TRAN (which may close above 3000, bullish under Dow Theory), 10-1 up/down volume on COMPX, 10-1 new highs/new lows on NYSE. Sorry about your miss, but definitely buy the next pull back.
