I was watching a small margin % grow like the wild fires out west as stock prices plummeted. What was once an amount of margin I was not in the least concerned with turned into a very precarious situation. Naz 1800 would have surely brought on a margin call, so I am glad to get a little breathing room. Hopefully, we rally really hard and I am able to sell something ....the sooner the better.....for a a profit.....that eliminates margin once and for all. Then margin will be used for simple swing trades with tight stops, not to sit LTB&H and watch your stocks go down while margin % goes up. My personal portfolio saw a 28% jump today.....I'd love to see a few more days like that......but honestly, I am down so far, I need like 500 - 1000% probably to get back to where I was in january....and I aint joking...thats what kind of year it's been...and I guess thats the way it's been for anybody that was heavy tech/internet, that kept buying all these great sales we had...i mean buying cmgi from 200 all the way down to $30 and then wising up and selling at $20 aint no way to build great wealth....and there sure were alot of cmgi's and elon's and etc, this year that practically bankrupted me.......I hope and pray this is a better year and hope and pray that at least one of my holdings does the wild thing like qcom did last year.....it sure is fun having one or more stocks that see those sky rocketing gains.......I need a few of those to have any chance of getting back to where I was..........Good luck to all....hope this holds, and builds to a higher base. I sure would like to get above 3000 and stay there once and for all and for good.....
