<<i dunno who "pcstel" is, but i'll bet Anth tells you that he gave him the idea in the first place>>

Not unless he told me in September of 1999.. Shorting G* was easy.. It was following in Iridium's footsteps.. Arrogant management and all!! It was all in the mathamatics.. Simple.. .47 cents a minute multiplied by 40 MOU (Bernie insisted on 160 MOU though, he was WRONG!) per Month per Subscriber equaled $225 dollars per sub per year in WHOLESALE revenue from the Space segment.. Only $168 per year @ .35 per MOU.. That equated into subscribers needed to reach operational breakeven of.... 1.7 million subs @ .47 per MOU and 2.4 million subs @ .35.. Even though I was "reassured" that the .35 per MOU was only a temporary phenomenon..

Irdium had only 50,000 subs and had complete worldwide coverage and roaming, (where licensed).. So it did not take a "brain surgeon" to figure out this was an easy short!!
