I must say that I'm getting better fills with Ameritrade now, when I used to curse these idiots to no end. I guess because so many people are gone, there's not much competition for orders anymore. Cybercorp is good for shorting, IF they offer the shares, which they have a very limited short list. I'm finding out that the E-brokers will work your trade and try to get the fill so they can get the order flow $$$$ from NITE. I started noticing that after hitting Cyber with orders to NITE using SelectNet and never getting filled, so I started routing some daytrades through Ameritrade, and noticed the faster fills after placing limit orders. I'm tempted to dump the fast access brokers all together and go with DATEK so I can use ISLD through them, plus I hear they have a pretty good short list. What many people don't realize, many of these fast access brokers have there own traders who compete against you by offering ridiculous shares to short in A/H's whenever the companies price is already down 70%, then when you cover at higher prices and try to short again the shares are gone. This occurred with stocks UNDER $5 too. Also, I don't have to mention the # of times I have gotten messages that Selectnet/Instinet/ISLD, ect.,ect.,ect., will be down UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE!!!!! Then 15-30 minutes later, they send messages back to you stating there up again. Total BS, so I'm considering dumping them. I almost went with AB Watley, because of their short list, even have the mouse pad they sent me to join! LOL! But, didn't like the fees. Glad I stayed away. There all out to please the institutions, ESPECIALLY Watley since they ARE ONE. KM
