Dan, Chartie, you're both right, imo. We are still in a bear market, but very likely have seen a reversal today. Today we closed above the previous high : quote.yahoo.com^IXIC&d=3m, so it should be relatively easy to move up from here and then hold above Tuesday's low. That could well prove the trend reversal we need. But Chartster is right in that this is still a rally in a bear market, or, the start of the next bull market. Dan's point of Fed direction is strong medicine that we have seen the lows in the NAS. There will be many earnings warnings ahead, and lowering of ratings, but remember, the market is seeing 6-9 months ahead. So, if last March it saw the slowing that is coming now, we may well now be seeing the beginning of the recovery later in 01. Maybe buy on dips will be replaced by buy on spikes. anyhoo, its a lot more fun this way. larry
