Sweet Hal, Every little bit helps. 5 million investors hearing the word "Identix" is alot better than a sharp stick in your eye. Maybe now IDX can start showing that they are a computer security stock. The AG Edwards analyst who covers computer security stocks was pounding the table on VRSN yesterday....his note said that computer security stocks were the place to be for 2001. Even in an environment of less IT spending.....security is the last area to get overlooked....somewhat like medical insurance and life insurance is the last thing to get dropped when a family tightens it's belt. His timing (Percelli) was excellent....and he does have a very good track record. I think he pounded the table on RIMM when it was a couple of bucks.....and Checkpoint too. I still wish I had loaded the boat with VRSN when it was $6.00......(when AG Edwards said to)....I would be one happy camper.....But I have IDX.....and I think the day is coming soon when Percelli or someone like him may pick IDX as the next VRSN. It will happen as it becomes clear that very top drawer security is needed in order to use the wireless web for anything more than text messaging. It may happen when another laptop maker decides to make biometric authentication standard on all new models. One of the big let-downs in 2000 was the lack of use of the wireless web.......even though folks had the ability to do lots of wonderful things. Experts say that this will change....as folks get used to the bells and whistles. Motorola starts spitting out DFR-400 cell phones this Summer....and IDX takes off...IMO....He he....IDX needs to hand these new phones out for free to Wall Streeters.....(That's how RIMM got moving!) And I do think all laptops will come with biometric readers and software standard.....I think they really must. Dell would be a big score...just on the laptop side. IBM would be a coup. I think this is our year.....I really do....or next year. <ggg> bg
