I think the "something" was the increasing specter of the GWB Tax Cut "Plan". Just as the "plan" was beginning to gain momentum among the "politicians", AG moved in a to decidedly take control.

Bush tax cut might be one. Head off the tax cut to make a soft landing. Greenspan and Bush did meet last week. In a way the lowering of the fed interest rate is a tax cut and will lower the debt. Can we say go president-Elect Bush? Now we get to see the Bush Rally.
