Hi Dan, I can assure you that this will remain a place of liberal though of all shades. My 'plans" have not been conciliatory. You have noticed by now, certainly, that I am a moderate liberal. I want to be sure of two things: that liberals of all stripes feel welcome to post here, and that the nature of our discussions is elevated from the personal mud-slinging that those of us who have posted on political threads on SI have come to expect. That's my primary reason for moderating the thread, so we don't have to spend our bandwidth in ideological arguments with the right.
