You can use the -1 feature in th formula to look back 1 period.

example for RavenQuote website:

EMA(C, 10, -2, 5, YHOO)
10 period 5-minute EMA using the Closing price offset 2 periods to the left for YHOO.

I think this will work

Marc, Was the BTTT MAX workspace something I uploaded to RQ's shared space? If so, I can't remember uploading it. :-) My mind is going.

Yes, alerts will come before the signal. Remember, MA's are based on N bars where the most recent bar has not yet closed. In layman's terms, lines will cross and uncross on unclosed bars. The closer you wait for the bar to close (which is every hour on the 1/2 hour except for the 4pm market close), the less likely the signal will change before the bar closes. This is especially turn in the first hour of the day.

You could probably back everything up to the left if you don't want to know about false signals but having an alert before the bar closes was more useful to me since I can prepare myself for a potential trade.
