Mark: Oh sure, I know where the market discounts -- hey, I have been in the market since the early sixties. But this economy is behaving badly. The winter weather does not help. A slowdown like this could just be a blip -- or it could be a lingering problem. Smart people will watch for the footprints. In the meantime, foreigners won't want to hold onto dollars quite as much as they did before -- and that will put some pressure on US financial assets of all types.
