It matters hugely. SPLS is perceived to be a better run company with better stores, management and business plan. Perception is reality. Look at KM vs WMT. KM has been in crapland for the past 5 years, yet still has huge revenues, just can't make a profit and most of their stores are still crapola. WMT is modern, bright, well run, great biz plan, stock has done very well. i agree, odp and spls are interchangeable, but the local spls has a better feel to me than the local odp, jmho. larry

Years ago a wise old floor trader gave me this advice:
" You are buying the stock not the company."
To this I will add the PnF chart is a gauge to measure the supply and demand of a stock not the company.
