Interestingly, Canada and Russia just signed a memorandum or agreement when President Putin visited Ottawa a few weeks ago to jointly push the US not to proceed with this pie-in-the sky scheme and to oppose its implementation.

Good to hear......Bush aka Captain America has not brought up star wars as far as I know....at least not yet. He's still busy working on a tax cut to save the economy from ruin.

Where have you been? Did you get burnt out on American politics? ;`))

I'm presuming you and Tim are discussing/debating the once moribund Reagan-era Star Wars program that everyone says Bush will try to revive? If it is.. I hope Tim knows that Europe and Canada are opposed to this

I was talking about defense spending in general including defense against ballistic missiles. I am aware that a number of our allies' governments are mildly to moderately in opposition to implementing such a plan, I just don't agree with them.
