perception is just one answer, i guess. there is a lemmings philosophy too. There are management wall street relationships too. But perception is as good as any.

Sounds like you are trying to use a Buffet method for trading instead of investing. ODP may very well be a better company than SPLS. SPLS is a better stock to buy at this moment according to PnF method of charting. There are many flaws to PnF charting, it is not exact. Where as Buffet is considered the premiere investor. When Buffet sold his MCD holdings the PnF chart said it was going higher. Buffet did not care his criteria was met and he decided it needed to be sold. He sold it. Who is to say he made the wrong decision. Certainly not I. my record is dismal compared to Buffet's.
