i don't know much about AMCC but just checked yesterdays chart,and see there was big selling into the rally yesterday,the money flow yesterday was minus 1.2million shares.this is company than depends much on CSCO right?technically it looks like it should go down.max

If I were still long AMCC, I would be scared to death, especially after the break the other day. I have recently sold my "long term" position, only because it is too dependent on CSCO, has too high a PE ratio, and obviously can drop 20 points in a nano-second.....Bought SUNW with my profits, and can sleep soundly owning that one longer term.

As far as puts go, that involves timing, so that one I can't help you with. I just don't see AMCC holding up at these levels for much longer.
