Bush said no govt bailing out of CA utilities. In essense he said "GFY" to california regulators. After all, CA voters rejected him. Time to get even! -g-

Seriously, if he follows through with actions to back his "tough" talk, may be he will be a President who would try to do the right thing rather than doing what the masses and the Street wanted (which is exactly what Slick did).

It possible that Bush realizes that this is a bubble he is inheriting from Slick and that his long term success depends on popping the bubble sooner than later. In that respect, he has an anti-Greespam agenda and may even (covertyly) want to tank the stock market ASAP. This will achieve two things for him. First, he will have over 3 years while the economy will try to "recover." Second, he will get a chance to get even with Greenspam for his father - after all, Bush Sr. blamed Greeny for his defeat! It ain't a good feeling when the man responsible for getting you voted out of the office is deified and basking in the glory while you suffer. -g-
