Pierre,

<Still, the ability to be contacted, and to respond immediately, is valuable. >

The ability to send and receive e-mail is available on every plane that has "on board telephones" TODAY (certain geographic restrictions apply).. There is no Special Antenna that have to be installed. No, expensive equipment to buy!! The phones have a data port!! I have used to before on an American Flight.. Sure it is expensive.. It cost me $5 to get my e-mail on the plane.. Was it worth it!! Not Really!! But it was a "Long Haul" JFK/SAN flight.. So if this "demand" was so large. Then I believe that the airlines would be making a fortune off of the current "Inflight Phone System". But, the phones stay in their seat back..

The WSJ article, and the Australian mining executive statements have long jived with my long standing thesis of Globalstar as a whole.. And that is my story about "Willy's Gas Station"..

How many times have you found yourself in the middle of No where and running low on Gas!! You look at the Gas Guage, and realize.. I gotta get some gas.. You drive along a country road and find "Willys' Gas Station".. You pull in and find the price on the pump.. Wow!! $3.50 per gallon.. Now you know.. 10 miles down the road the gas (cellular coverage) is only $1.60 a gallon.. But, you know you can't make it!! You need gas NOW!!.. You are kind of peeved at Willy for trying to take advantage of you given you present predicament.. But, you have no choice.. What do you do?? Do you fill up your tank?? OK! Willy, I will take 30 Gallons @ $3.50.. or do you try and calculate the minimum amount of Willy's Gas necessary to make it to "market priced" Gas!! Most people will only purchase 2 or 3 Gallons of Willys' Gas..

Internet Access in Airports will soon be Widespread!! Not using costly CDMA/GPRS air time.. Bluetooth will be the connectivity choice.. The cost to wire an Airport/Airline for In-Terminal deployment with "anonymous Internet connectivity" using Bluetooth will be minimal. You Palm/Visor/Palmputer/Laptop will have a simple Bluetooth card installed.. It will become an "expected amenity" in Airports, like we expect Restrooms. Stores, Coffee Shops, Wal-Mart, and your local Piggly-Wiggly will all offer "anonymous free connections".. Probably with some advertisement displayed..

Right now.. anyone walking down my street in proximity of my home with a WaveLan/IEEE 802.11 wireless networking card can log on to my DSL modem in an "anonymous" fashion.. My incremental cost is "ZERO". Bluetooth will allow the same connectivity.. It will have wide spread uses.. And many "unwired net connections" will use FREE anonymous Bluetooth connections in lieu of a CDMA/GPRS connection. You can use it in any country worldwide..

In my opinion..
