Eric - I was being facetious about my hands - you asked "What did I use to deploy". We developed our own network-based configuration and deployment tool. The workstations were automatically configured by department and user pretty much out of the box. Applications varied quite a bit depending on what was being done - mostly financial stuff. The people doing the actual installation were local facilities staff with more telecom and wiring skills than computer skills, so the installation had to be plug and chug with any support coming from central office. If there is a way to do that using semi-skilled people in less than 10 minutes from out of the box to running and usable, I would sure like to know about it.
