Glad to hear this at least, since I feel some responsibilty since I encouraged looking at and DD re:the Q '03's. some moons ago)

don't be silly, Cha2. First, however much we chit-chat in public, we all make--and are responsible for--our own decisions, and have no one to blame but ourselves if the results aren't what we hoped. Second, my QCOM LEAPS purchased over the summer were the best investments I made during Y2K, and appreciated quite nicely by year-end. I had to sell some of them, but did so reluctantly and only because doing so enabled me to protect some of the core common of other rapidly falling angels.

Although obviously I'd vastly prefer my spring portfolio to its much-diminished winter offspring, the only sane thing to do at this point is chalk it all up to experience and move forward. Most of the wise old investors have sob stories to tell of their early disasters, and now I will too. :0)

PS got this via PM in response to my earlier post: "I'm a reporter for The Wall Street Journal. I'd like to talk to you about whether you've cut back your spending or put off any purchases because of the market's decline. Would you please call me at..." My response (dusted off from the spring): "no thanks, karate men bruise on the inside..."
