I was unaware of this classifiedplus product from infospace that is being used by AOL and thought it might me of interest to some of us who are relatively new to infospace....this product must be a pretty good cash producer.....I still can't figure how it was that with all the things going for infospace how it did not generate any more revenue that go2net when they merged

excerpt from epoch research report

In June 1999, AOL launched InfoSpace's classified advertisements product, ClassifiedPlus, and made it available on AOL, AOL.COM, Digital City and Netscape's Netcenter. With ClassifiedPlus AOL's users can purchase and post classified advertisements on any of the above sites. ClassifiedPlus represents America Online's effort to enter into the lucrative U.S. online classified advertisement market which Forrester Research expects to reach $1.5 billion by 2002. In return for hosting the service, America Online pays InfoSpace quarterly cash fees and a percentage of all classified advertising and transaction revenues.

Homee, I think Infospace is about to become really noticed......all the negative news about other internets while not helping persay at the moment will be good news for infospace when our earnings come out......folks still believe in the internet and want to be invested there and they will be looking for internets with good earnings, and a good story suggesting an upward trend ...well thats exactly what infospace has to offer.....and it is only one of a few internets that can say that.......add to that a few key announcements with charter broadband likely coming out right around earnings and perhaps some other surprise and well that seems to me a formula for a real winning combination of events.........what do you think Homee?
