But isn't this supposed to be the "New Economy" where crusty old textbook teachings are to be scoffed at? I guess Kudlow and the rest of us are not "driving the new economy" just quite enough : )

Maybe its my fault that the new economy is stalling - most of my friends have a laptop or comp with DSL, a Palm, a RIMM and of course a cellphone...

I refuse to get a laptop because I sit in front of a computer all day at work and dont want to go blind any faster than I am now.

I refuse to get a Palm because I have been blessed with a good memory which everyone else could have too if they just trashed their Palms and challenged themselves to remember things.

And best, I can check and send email at home through my cellphone, so I dont need a RIMM.

I conclude that I, Paul Berliner, am guilty of not "driving the new economy" as much as I should be and thus deserve full blame for the nation's current sorry economic state. I throw myself on the mercy of the thread.

thank you Robert.

the more i continue to read, the more uncertain i become of a specific trend. perhaps all this means is we will be bound in some sort of range. until a clearer picture is obtained from the new administration in re: taxes, expenditures and other general policies.
