Same thing happened when Kennedy cut taxes in the early sixties. Taxes went UP!

It's just unbelievable that people still mouth this manta of how the Reagan tax cuts caused the deficits.

Absent serious and prolonged recession, U.S. gross revenues increase every year even when the tax rate remains stable because of population increases, immigration, expanding economic activity, international trade, wage creep, normal increases in capital gains, increased deaths (because of increasing elderly) among those who pay estate taxes, etc. etc. So, isn't the question whether the rate of increase was more or less than it would have been without the Reagan tax cuts?
