Make a comment in the context of a "long winded rant", knowing darn well that it will send the Thread into a complex series of "heated discussions".. Then he simply "steps back", pours a Carafe of Sherry, and goes out side and plays in the dirt!! Do you here that Maurice.. Don't be snickering under your breath.. I knew it all along.. I just played along with you!! OK > Come now PCSTEL. I made an idle suggestion in a "PS" that if push really came to shove, Bill Clinton, as Commander-in-Chief, appointed by the founding fathers and mothers to that exalted position, could resolve the whole electoral sordid saga by the simple expedient of declaring himself interim president pending another election in a month. Which would give the news media LOTS of stuff to do. It would entertain the crowds no end. Some wet-blanket types pointed out a few weaknesses in the suggestion and others went ballistic. Anyway, it's port [Xmas present], not sherry, and it's sand we play in here [and waves], not dirt [though I did dig some dirt to get more corn in the ground]. Also, it's not snickering. Life's a giggle, Mqurice PS: I still think he should be allowed a third term as allowed by the Founding Fathers and Mothers. That basic human right to hold any position was wantonly removed earlier in the 20th century, for no good reason. The stock market would do better. The Gore/Bush prospect has NOT been good for the market. Even Alan Green$pan's rate cut couldn't cheer people up for long. We want Bill! We want Bill! Bring back the decade-long Bull! Under Bill the Bull Boomed. Productivity and The New Paradigm soared. Who's laughing now?
