CompactFlash memory cards generally use NAND-type Flash memory chips - with an internal serial-addressing architecture. Intel currently doesn't make this type. Instead, Intel's Flash devices use a NOR architecture, which basically allows random read and write access from any memory byte in the array. Intel's primary markets are for data program storage (BIOS) used in motherboards and cell phone data storage. Paul
