I've been a strong uptrend kind-of-guy for many years and now find myself rethinking the next two to four years. I'd expected the next 15-25 years to be filled with very powerful growth world wide. Now it looks like that's on hold.

thank you for your response.

it allows me to get a point of view outside my own head. from there i can assimilate the different data that we all read and attempt to form a concept of what markets are most likely to do.

in your last statement, you express that the idea you had about the markets, you are now re-considering. this is one of the most important thing to have in mind while trading. things never last and it seems that are less and less lasting every day. we must be prepared to change our views as the market dictates to us. the same way recent events have made you change your view, things may change in the future, yet again for the better or worse.

the key is to learn to read these subtle signs before they become plainly evident. --perhaps a little luck can help us all.

again, thank you for your perspective.
