jhp, actually, i was just kidding as i think soliciting on SI is against policy and, quite frankly, tacky and prone to fraud. if you are interested in finding a local organization (i prefer to help kids and give them skills and knowledge to guide future decisions, but everyone's boat is rocked by different waves) and donating some computer gear, let me know and i will show you how i get what i feel are super deals on computer equipment. about $1k +/- can get you 2 good brand name computers and 2 17" monitors. $500 smackers can get you a single set. the benefit to some kids will be immeasurable, imho.
