That's a heartening piece on the taxi driver, isn't it?

Although it's not really related except superficially, this thread and that piece remind me of a movie I liked a lot, a Chinese film called "Not One Less." Subtitles, great for any first world kids old enough for subtitles, or with parents patient enough to read and explicate a little. A poor rural school in China, a substitute teacher 14 years old-- the only one they could get with their meager resources when their regular teacher had to be absent.

It was based on a true incident, would be consciousness-raising for American children, and has a happy ending.

I loved it. I think pretty much anybody would. It's a film intended for adults. A relatively new release in video.
