Mr. Ken Cook was hired because his dad (who is a long-time employee) asked us to, saying Ken needed help and consistently had problems keeping a job. On his way out the door tonight, his dad told me how embarrassed he was, and wondered how his son could fail to realize that he was helping the very people responsible for orchestrating the current chaos. One of Ken's "best friends" also works here. It's interesting--I'm so rotten that people stay here so long! We have visitors every week; our people talk to hundreds of people a day. The one constant we have is dedicated people--my employees bought me a $2,500 Christmas gift! Ken Cook's file is full of reprimands from Dan Mehosky. Ken was allowed to stay on staff and given additional chances because of his dad. I think we will have a statement from his dad tomorrow, regarding SeaView and myself. As with all disgruntled employees, he has a problem with me. I loaned him money to set up a dive-training business. I allowed him to use company facilities to give instruction. My thinking? Divers are business for us. But he could not make it work; and when he was terminated, I made him settle his debt when he received his check. It is quite obvious that he was not very observant during his time here. I will point out a few facts which are irrefutable. Jennifer Lawson worked for SeaView as a model/spokesperson, appearing in ads and at boat shows. She worked under a consulting agreement and was given stock under an S-8 filing when we were getting started. She did not "run off to New York" in a "big payoff." Jennifer is President of McBride & Associates right here in town, and is quite busy working on the Eckerd Drug account. I do not own a restaurant, and certainly did not purchase one with stock. It has been jokingly stated that I "run the place" in our complex, because I eat there every day. I do not own an airplane--period. I received a call from an insidetruth.com "investigator" who wanted me to believe he was calling about some parts my "mechanic" had ordered, and could I tell him at which airport my plane was.... Having already received non-stop calls here from people misrepresenting themselves, I countered: "Which plane?" The caller was stunned! He said, "I don't know." I responded that I needed to know--was it the Piper Cub, the jet, or the helicopter?!! That was the laugh of the day...I OWN NO AIRCRAFT! Boats: I do own a 60-foot yacht. Quite the high-tech machine--a wood-hulled Norseman, built in 1962. It's the one mentioned in the "SeaView Saga," the boat upon which the camera, and the company, was born. I'm involved in an 86-foot Cheoy Lee which carries the "Team SeaView" logo. I have less than $25,000 in it. It is not owned by, or connected with, SeaView. Sales: If you read the last Press Release, you will note we have $9-Million-Plus ORDERS for SecureView to deliver this quarter. Yes, we do sell dealers an underwater camera and then floor-plan them for 90 days...thus the receivables column that shows up in our financials. Yes, we do allow "Mom and Pop" stores to sell our products...and Damn Proud Of It! Cameras: "We" do not mass-produce our cameras. They are jobbed to outside suppliers. We do build special orders in-house, and of course can add an in-house boost to production of regular units if needed. In the opinions of people who have worked in my shop, Ken could not build a camera. Regarding returns, we require a Return Authorization number be assigned to any returned camera. We started in 1998 with RA #1. The current number is RA # 571. Engineers: Again, we use outside contractors. My office manager handles my personal checking account. We have a reputable CPA, and audits are done by a separate, SEC-qualified CPA. I can assure you the checks do not get mixed up. I have never been in the "phone room business." I could tell you what I found out about some of the "businesses" Mr. Ken Cook was in. But it would only bring me down to "their" level, so I won't. As for my personal relationships, I do not think that is anyone else's business. I think Mr. "Anthony" (his real name is Amr Ibrahim Elgindy) is showing both his desperation and his tabloid mentality. If you tell enough stories, eventually get labeled as a storyteller. Almost forgot--Don Shula did not "find out" anything and "back out." We simply could not make the numbers work. As for Mike Ditka, he is on the back page of a magazine which came out just last Saturday.
