<locality of lots of related files>
John,

I don't know what that guy did with his partitions.
It is a fact that he messed up his pre-configured
computer, and it is ridiculous to claim the 400kB/s transfer rate for a modern ATA-100 hard drive,
even at 5400 rpm. I just
bought a 40GB ultra-quiet Quantum ATA-100 drive for
my younger kid for X-mas, and it makes up to 25MB/s
even if it is so-called sub-7200rpm drive (in fact
it is 4400 rpm only!!!)

BTW, have you ever experienced installation of NT4?
With about only 3,500 files in a Fat16 directory, just
about 75MB total?

<I remember you once claimed that Rambus would only work properly under favourable weather conditions.>

Has anything changed since then? :) :) Within the
scope of our polemic it is still true :)
