Uh - Ish, I hope you had a humorous reason for using the "n" word - I am very much opposed to such language, even in jest, although I recognize that black people use it jestingly towards each other. Call me old fashioned, but there are some words that are just not acceptable in public.

Lest I be challenged for being a hypocrite, there is a black family across the street, one two houses up the block, one catty-corner to us. Also several Asian families, and at least one middle-Eastern family. We all get along just fine.

There are people who consider that word very offensive. Some of them are blacks, and a fair proportion of blacks are conservative. I say we welcome them into the tent with open arms. It is the content of minds, not the color of skin, that counts.
