Semi, <Hey Ten, didn't the company replace your assigned desktop with a laptop/docking station yet??>

No, most of my immediate coworkers and I can't demonstrate a real need for a laptop. Instead, we got hand-me-downs from Willamette-ville.

<By the way, are you SURE you want to get the laptop instead of the desktop?? Have you read the bottom of the "Employee PC" Web Page recently to see what they'll be offering for the desktop in Q2???>

Yeah, I know, it's going to be a Pentium 4 system in Q2. But usually I like to custom-build my desktop system, because I like upgrading it every so often. However, I can't custom-build a laptop, nor is a laptop easily upgradeable. So it's better if I just get the laptop from Intel, rather than the desktop.

Besides, I'll upgrade my current desktop once Pentium 4 reaches 2.0 GHz, runs as cool as a breeze, and costs less than $400. Until then, my current Pentium III system should be good enough.
