We just had one of the biggest periods of growth in the tech industry. Almost everyone in the industry experienced nice highs on their stock prices... except CPQ.

To say "Better luck with the next rise in the economy" seems to be wishful thinking. What are they going to do different this time around?

I think the field will have even more (and better) competitors in all areas; network server, consumer and enterprise hardware.

CPQ needs fresh management who are not inclined to do the same thing over again. They seem to bet the farm on strategies that look good today, but miss the boat tomorrow.
