On another topic:
There are several on this thread who believe that a very large financial problem is about to raise its ugly visage and that it accounts for the most bizarre Fed action in many years. I belong to that group. Is it a derivatives situation that has become unmanageable? Is it a foreign central bank that refuses to behave and hang on to its mountain of "treasuries"? At this point, none of us know, but the myriad of signs are not to be ignored, IMHO. At this juncture in the market's continuing implosion, an emerging big problem will shove this tottering derelict over the cliff. For the first time in a long while, this particular bear is foraging with a vengence.
