TMann.. Just a quick note.. You seem to imply that Qualcomm and Loral should somehow reduce their Profitability in order to save the GSTRF Common? i.e. 1. $300 dollar phones.. (Who is SUBSIDIZING these Phones) Loral? Qualcomm? 4. Offer LOR fixed satellite service customers (cable companies, the network media, etc, etc) discounts on satellite time for volume G* purchases. I guess Loral Takes the hit on this one! 8. How bout a smaller phone with long life batteries. Who is going to pay for development? QCOM has already produced almost 100,000 of the current model?? Who pays? WHO PAYS?? What are the costs to obtain a single subscriber of Globalstar? Easily in excess of $20,000 per subscriber!! Can that be recovered? Sure you can spend two healthy companies into Bankruptcy to try and save Globalstar!! But Why? You will only end up with 3 companies in Bankruptcy! PCSTEL
