You can increase the size of Windows disk transfers by setting:
My Computer->Properties->Performance->File System->Typical role of this computer->Network Server

thanks. What do I have to do to try this out? Do I have to run DOS from a floppy, or can I do it from the Windows DOS console? Load the bus-mastering driver? how? Use the "copy" command? I'd really like to see this 25MB/s. Are there any other OS's that will do it?

State of the art hard drives nowadays are supposed to have media (head-to-media) max transfer rates of 50MB/s.

I just set my computer to "network server" and will see how it does like that.
