Bosco, I agree the Fed was right to cut rates. In fact I greatly admire their actions over the last many years. I'm especially glad the air got sucked out of the bubble before it burst. (To some equity owners, it felt like a burst but the general public rolled merrily along, unlike Japan)

I've also gained respect for the adage "Don't fight the fed." So, I'll be mostly long this year, but there is still the small matter of timing.

Based on my worry about what "the Fed was disinclined to reveal to the public" I think I'll hold off a little more. For the part of last year, fighting the Fed was a lucritive strategy. The Fed affected the market mostly in the end. There may be a lag going the other way as well.
