Dear TB: You bring up a good point. If people knew what the ASSOCIATED costs are of hiring people they would be amazed. I would estimate benefits today including health care, vacation, holidays, employer portion of SS, disability, life insurance and a myraid of other things brings the indirect costs to around 50% of payroll. JDN

It doesn't seem like we'll be getting any help from the market any time soon, though.

Earnings is what we need. I think the market is missing the possibility that the rest of the world isn't in phase with the U.S. and may be doing better.
