A bunch of us came up with that possibility as we cast about for a reason. I said I wasn't buying that crap that the FED was reacting to NAPM...a big player had to be in trouble, but who?

My biggest problem with the CA ute part of the theory was that I could not see how a rate cut would solve the real problem. Yesterday I begged for someone to post whatever bit of convoluted logic might explain the reasoning. None came.

It even makes less sense in light of this:

If the above is true, no wonder certain consumer groups want those CA utilities destroyed.

Rate cut won't help that situation.
