RS- great work, however...there's a math problem here..

For example, 3Com Corporation (COMS) % Of Index
(Adjusted) is 0.1

When you multiply $10,000 by 1/10 of 1% you get $10 NOT the $100 you reported. Is the overall PE off by a factor of 10?

Rocket Scientist is correct... Using Market Guide data
(qcharts) Naz-100 P/E is about 175! Very scarey. Means Naz
has
a "l-o-n-g" way to fall. Maybe the NAZ 1000 predictions or
lower are possible to get P/Es in line with growth rates.

Here's another question: What is the relationship between
the QQQ P/E and Naz-100 PE? is it the same?

Here's the raw data:

R.S: Your valuation is dependent on the data.

P/E is measured in terms of Current Price/ Operational earnings not Adjusted earnings. The Market data reflects adjusted earnings and is therefore not fully valid.

The Operational trailing earnings can be found from the Yahoo research Board. When you measure that you will see a much lower figure. Nevertheless the NAZ is currently 500- 600 points above its traditional level viz 1/5 of the DJIA.
It may get there by end April starting in end Jan. Many fundamental analysts agree with that observation.

The DJIA and S&P are far more healthy and may trade sideways whilst the NAZ corrects. Do you have any convincing arguments for the NAZ to be at these high P/E levels & higher.

Thanks.
