I don't want to be morbid, but with Strom Thurmond crossing 98 he needs to get things done fast. SC Governor would appoint a Democratic replacement. ST is up for re-election in 02.

The senate is a toss up in 02, so far.

Micheal Barrone has done a study, (reported on FoxNews) based on the congressional shift from the census. Looking at who controls redistricting, on a state by state basis, he has estimated the Republican party +10 in the House.

I am looking for more info on this.

Yes, and it sounds like McCain won't help him with anything unless he gets his campaign reform bill through..
