<<I don't know Bushes IQ>> An interesting question. Probably very close to that of other plant life. With today's technology able to measure and map things as small as genes, it could also probably measure the Shrub's IQ.

<WT, if you could for 10 minutes listen to Bush when he is in his element of a conversation of ideas and concepts and stop while listening trying to think of what's wrong with what he is saying and instead think of whats right with what he is saying you would over time come to see how bright Mr. Bush is<

TW, of course I don't really know what Bush is like in person, I've never met him. His demeanor and presence in public is truly miserable, so I would have to assume there's more to him than one sees in front of a TV camera. Otherwise, this would truly be a tragic and sad situation.

Time will tell, I suppose.

With regard to the people in his cabinet, I'm not sure what it says except that most of them have known Cheney for many years. I think that people like Powell and the Gov. of Wisc. add a great deal of credibility.

At the same time, I have a real problem with Ashcroft and the James Watt clone that he's picked for Interior.

Ashcroft, in particular, is a very poor choice for many reasons. All this praise for his "character" I find a bit bizarre given the positions he has on some issues that really involve character. I have the same questions about Bush, himself.

As you know, much of this board is little more than throwing silly insults and charges around. Right winger's rant and rave about Clinton and make some valid points along with lots of total silliness. Folks like me return the favor with somewhat equally outrageous statements that have elements of truth in them.

If anyone actually ever decide they would actually like to engage in some real debate(civilized, thoughtful and thought provoking) I'd be glad to participate...
