I agree. There is no quick solution.

That said, I think the new administration will take constructive steps to build up the energy infrastructure: things such as an increased oil depletion allowance or rebuilding the SPR. Possibly even tax credits although I knew, in other contexts, Bush has criticized these. Whatever steps are taken, it's going to benefit oil service stocks and one day soon the Wall Street herd is going to wake up to that fact. All IMVHO.

John, excellent summation.

FWIW, nibbling on FLC on weakness. IMHO in the MT to LT drillers will do well. In the ST: buy the dips from expected volatility. Only ankle deep in margin. Having been spanked by being too deep in margin going into the last dip, I'm being more conservative here.
